Brainstorming

WORKSHOPS SPRING & FALL 2020

Each of our workshops brings together research insights and personal experiences on the issue of gender discrimination in the economics profession. In our discussions and brainstorming sessions, we carefully balance the two by taking research as a natural starting point and then discussing our own experiences, various policy interventions and perspectives on the given topic. We cover a broad set of topics encompassing the situation of women in economics at various stages of their career, the leaky pipeline, the effect of persistent gender norms or misogynistic environments on women’s professional success and policy options to combat these issues. An important aspect is our safe-space agreement (we speak under Chatham House Rules) that allows us to share openly thereby raising acceptance and awareness of (mostly shared) existing problems.
Check out our blog posts of past workshops and our events section for how to join the upcoming ones!
