IEE Research Day 2023
On Friday, September 15th, the Institute of Economics and Econometrics (IEE) had the Research Day, where faculty members- mostly professors present their current and ongoing research. The department introduced a new tradition: one session dedicated to diversity in our community, in collaboration with our association, Rare Voice in Economics.

For the first edition, Rare Voices in Economics was invited to present at a session dedicated to "Diversity at the IEE: IEE statement on diversity and actions by Rare Voices in Economics." by Prof. Jérémy Lucchetti, Director of the IEE.
Prof. Michele Pellizzari read out the "Diversity Statement of the IEE".
The department presented this and discussed the IEE Diversity Statement and proposed two new Diversity Ambassadors, Prof. Jaya Krishnakumar and Prof. Caterina Calsamiglia , who will play a pivotal role in championing inclusivity at IEE.

Together, we discussed important topics like sexual harassment and discrimination, reaffirming our collective dedication to creating a safe and equitable space for all members of the IEE and RViE community.
